AI for Grasshopper

AI for Grasshopper is most useful when the question identifies a parametric definition and the data moving through it. Grasshopper is a visual algorithm editor integrated with Rhino. A graph-planning example is different from a working Vector OS connection.

Grasshopper · In development

Grasshopper integration is in development. Rhino availability does not establish Grasshopper feature support. No release date has been announced.

Describe the definition, not just the shape.

A visible result can depend on sliders, lists, data trees and referenced Rhino geometry. Name the input you want to vary and the output you expect. Explain whether the task concerns understanding the graph, proposing a change or creating geometry in the host.

An example request to plan.

Illustrative request, subject to the supported scope of your build.

Explain how changing the station-count input from eight to twelve would affect this section definition. Identify referenced geometry, list behaviour and outputs to inspect. Do not run the definition or bake geometry.

For a planning discussion, describe the relevant components, connections, input ranges and references. State what is known and what remains an assumption. A screenshot or explanation is not proof of current host or graph state.

This is a planning example. Vector OS does not offer a released Grasshopper connector here; Rhino beta availability does not establish Grasshopper support.

What should you check?

  • Distinguish preview geometry from geometry baked into Rhino.
  • Check list lengths, data-tree paths, units and referenced objects.
  • Review the definition and resulting geometry independently before relying on a proposal.

Review selected context and native approval before a supported change.

Website samples are scripted and do not connect to or change your CAD software. Beta access, host versions and supported actions require separate confirmation. Check Windows beta access.
